Not surprising, the violin is one of the most beautiful instruments.

Chellos are one of my long time favorites.

Off to YouTube to listen to more. I love when string instruments are incorporated in or fully comprise modern music. See also: Lindsay Stirling, Yellowcard, Tiger Army, Flobots, etc.

Lindsay Stirling has lost her luster to me. From what I’ve heard she’s a huge asshole to her fans at concerts and just kinda let everything go to her head in a bad way. And her music became kind of cookie-cutter. Pity, really.
Never heard of those other groups, though. Off I go to
waste my day
check them out.

I saw these guys live in undergrad years back. They are very talented.

Fair point. I never got into anything of her’s past the first album, for that reason. Don’t know anything about her demeanor and attitude but can’t say it would surprise me.

As for those others, Yellowcard anyway, never got into into anything past Ocean Avenue. That was a pretty good album, then after that they got a little cookie cutter.
